When I'm not spending time with my husband and four children, you'll usually find me working on a project around the house or watching a great detective show.
I have many things I love, and one is helping people embrace more simplicity, not just in their homes but in their lives.
My Story
I have always been passionate about design and creating beautiful spaces. If a space isn't functional and is overrun by too many things, the beauty in a home gets lost, and no amount of pretty decor can save you.
The pictures on this site are from two of the various homes we've lived in. Years ago, we designed and built our dream home; it was glorious and spacious. The other home is our tiny farmhouse we are currently renovating; it is charming and cozy. Downsizing from 6,000 sq. ft. to 1,200 sq. ft. with 4 growing teenagers was not easy.
Our primary bedroom in this 90-year-old farmhouse is now about the size of my old walk-in closet....
and doesn't even have a closet! (How is that for a fun challenge!)
And our kitchen is just a little larger than our old pantry!
But I saw our new limited space as an even more exciting challenge
to edit, organize, and embrace more simplicity in our home and lives.
Large homes, small homes, new homes, old homes, renting and home-ownership: they all have their unique challenges when it comes to function and beauty-
and I'm here for all of it!
I have probably lived through whatever challenge you face.
